    Crossing Over to Nowhere
    By, Lara Cross

‘Don’t know where this all ends… and, frankly, I don’t care.
I’ve got my lips painted perfect on my face, and…
I’m wearing gorgeous, textured brunette hair.
So, I’ve got the look; I’ve got the urge, but I do not have a place.

As I’m checking out my wig and face, jewels dangle from each ear…
I’m crossing over to nowhere… a few high-heeled steps to being queer.

There’s a power deep inside me that keeps me yearning to be girl.
I find myself helplessly enraptured with all things that women love,
Like the way my panties hold my cock, like the scent of each sprayed curl,
Like the feel of my new nylon hose, and the texture my leather glove.

As I cinch up my lace corset, and I darken my faux lash
I’m crossing over to nowhere… wondering when my world will crash.

Sissies aren’t that strange from others; most just want a place to be
The person that they always knew was deep inside their heart.
Sissies don’t impose themselves on others rules… just their vision to be free
Of the judgments and the whispers that outsiders might impart.

So, I’ll clean the lipstick from my face, and I’ll stow my wig away,
Because I’m crossing over to nowhere, and dreaming of another day.
